NAR

Nar located in Barsha Heights (Tecom) is not very far from MOE you can get there by taking a cab which will cost you AED 17.

NAR is a nice, quiet place to have a great evening with your friends . Ambience is cozy and welcoming but their outdoor seating is not very impressive so we preferred sitting indoors.

They have an extensive menu for Sheesha which I was impressed to see . They have  categorized them into three parts as house, mint it up and iced flavors . We ordered the lemon mint sheesha which was nice ,smooth in the beginning but after sometime it started hitting the throat even after telling the coal guy about the same it was still the same. So the sheesha was just okayish not very smooth as in other places in Dubai.

The cuisine served at Nar is Middle-eastern with nice options for breakfast, cold-hot mezzas, manoushe, grills, salads, sandwiches.

We ordered Tawook Platter which is basically chicken shish tawook , big chunks of chicken pieces grilled to perfection served with pita bread, pickles ,garlic toum and fries which are like UK style chips was a good change from the usual fries served at other middle-eastern restaurants . The taste of the dish was amazing , chicken was soft , subtly flavored , it paired well with fresh pita breads which are served unlimited there. The Mixed Shawarma Platter (Chicken N Beef) was not very impressive in terms of taste both the meats were dry and lacked the crispiness which should be there in shawarma the only the side dishes served with it saved the dish. In my opinion the mix shawarma platter is easily skippable nothing too fascinating . In cold meeza we ordered Hummus here has a dominant taste of tahini, lemon , consistency was smooth as silk which I like and tasted amazing with fresh pita breads.

Nar is a nice place in Barsha Heights to spend a nice and chilled out evening with friends . Not at all loud you can actually have a good conversation with your friends, the food , sheesha adds to the whole experience of visiting this place. In terms of pricing Nar is reasonably priced in terms of food and sheesha. The quantities served are huge and are easily sharable for the price charged . In and all Nar is a value for money place to visit it surely doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket!
