Denny’s is a famous diner-style restaurant having restaurants in USA, Canada, UK & UAE. It was first opened as a donut stand in 1953 then converted to a coffee shop and finally into a diner. Its famous for its all-day breakfast dishes and the biggest bonus is that it is open 24X7.

Denny’s has become my favorite breakfast place in Dubai having two outlets in Al Ghurair and Al Safa. My recent visit was to Al Safa outlet, located on Sheikh Zayed Road. The ambience is of a an American diner with red colored seating booths with a lamp dangling from the top and amazing outdoor seating  with umbrellas on each table, it is a good choice to sit out in this weather. They have a huge menu when it comes to breakfast items ranging from poached eggs to omlettes to skillets to everyone’s favorite pancakes and waffles. Whoever goes to Denny’s gets spoiled for choices. Although I am not a breakfast person but Denny’s is one place I can go anytime any day. The main reason being the huge portions they serve, amazing taste, value for money, the diner –style ambience and the in general vibe of the place is very inviting.

We ordered 1. Crazy Chicken Skillet: served on a sizzling skillet on a bed of roasted red potatoes, caramelized onions, bell peppers topped with loads of jalapenos accompanied with perfectly grilled chicken in a cheesy sauce and topped/garnished with fresh tomato salsa. Its spicy, cheesy, tangy, full of flavor and when had with tortillas it’s a crazy combination as the name suggests. 2. Chicken BBQ Skillet: simple dish comprising of perfectly grilled chicken breast tossed with sweet bbq sauce, caramelized onions, bell peppers, broccoli served sizzling over a sizzler plate is not a very breakfast dish but, in my opinion, a healthy lunch/dinner option.

3. The Ultimate Shaskshouka: poached eggs made in a rich tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and a variety of mixed herbs with a pre dominant flavor of oregano served on a sizzling skillet is best enjoyed with brown bread toast.  As soon as you cut through the poached egg the thick yolk just flows out and gets mixed with the rich tomato sauce making it a perfect egg cum breakfast dish. 4. The Spicy harbanero burger:  We opted for the veggie option . The burger is served in a soft brioche bun with a crispy veggie patty topped with a spicy harbanero mayo sauce and jalapenos served with yummy seasoned fries is a again a good option for the vegetarians as there are very limited options available for them.

Denny’s is also famous for its milkshakes so we ordered the Chocolate peanut butter shake, Oreo Shake. Shakes are served in big glasses topped with whipped cream and a small  amount of shake is served in a huge steel glass which is very unique and very American

If you are looking for a diner like experience in Dubai then Denny’s is the place for you and with Entertainer and Zomato gold offers applicable here, makes it a value for money experience. With such an extensive menu I feel one visit to Denny’s is not enough for me atleast and I will keep going there till I try atleast half of their menu.
